I was just wondering what plants I can plant around an outdoor pond?

  2. I am assuming that you mean plants that will grow in very wet soil near the pond's edge.  These are called "bog plants".

You really need a range of plants & surfaces - gravel/sand, edible foliage, shade plants,etc - plants for in the pond and plants for around the outside of the pond, etc. Planning an outdoor enclosure with pond for a turtle is about creating an entire micro-climate to suit that animal (and your particular weather conditions/environment). Ask around at your local nursery for suitable plants to grow in the pond and what would also suit your climate.
