Yes, it is a great brand.

They are better with audio equipment for cars. They keep up with the latest colors and technology.

I have had a couple items for the household, but i prefer them for items for a vehicle.

On a scale from 1-10, I would rate the quality a 9.

The first amp I got was a kenwood, and I loved it. The only bad things I've heard about them is their head units. But my friend could just be expressing his own opinion..

Kenwood is up there with Technics, Pioneer, Aiwa, panasonic etc.. I'd advise buying British speakers like Wharfdale.

kenwood is a great brand depending on what kenwood stuff your buying they have some cheaper stuff that is allright but if you spend a lil bit of money u can get there top of the line stuff and it is sweet just whatever u buy dont get caught up in the watts always look at the rms power

Make sure it is CEA-2006 Compliant as well. Although it is Kenwood and I am pretty sure that their equpiment is CEA-2006 compliant though. As the first response said, only look at the RMS value for all audio equipment weather it is for your house or your car, peak values mean absolutely nothing. Besure that the unit you by (if it is a stereo) has 3 pair of preamp outs that are at a minimum of 2.0 volts, so it will be easier to add things on like amps, better speakers and so forth.

But yes Kenwood is a very good brand, even with their low end equipment is even half way decent.
