Question:

I was liftin weights and hurt my back around mon. or tue. it feelsa lil better but it hurts when i stit down ?

or breathe, and where it hurts it is numb. whats wrong with me

  1. It sounds like you have damaged a lumbar disc.  These discs act as cushions between the vertebra of your spine.  This is a compression type injury that is pinching a nerve and causing you to feel numb.  You should go to an osteopath and be evaluated.  You also need to lay off the weights for a bit.  Additionally you should review your weight lifting techniques, as you are most likely doing an exercise incorrectly, and have injured yourself as a result.

    This is a potentially serious injury and should be treated thusly.


  2. You need to see a doctor. If you're in pain while breathing that is a definite problem. Something may have harmed your lungs or you may have cracked a rib. (Those are the only two things I know that harm your breathing patterns.) Go see a doctor asap!
