Colliingwood is the most famous AFL club in Australia . They have won 14 Premierships and lost 28.   Because they had lost so many grand finals, a former club legend and Premiership captain, Lou Richards  writing a column for the Herald Sun, many years ago, suggested the reason for losing was due to "Colliwobbles",meaning Collingwood under pressure were suspect and therefore failed.    The name Colliwobbles is now connected to Collingwood in such a way, that .when mentioned in any corner of Australia, people immediately know the talk is about Collingwood .  Opposition supporters , critic's and other detractors just loved the name "Colliwobbles" to sneer at the Magpies, while not aware in reality  that Richards naming of the Colliwobbles, was to be the "best" marketing tool any AFL club could have wished for .  Collingwood year after year are credited for putting more "BUMS" on seats so to speak than any other club and  as the most popular FOOTY CLUB, COLLINGWOOD ,continually give their supporters value for money, and today's ANZAC game is a prime example.  They were listed in the Herald -Sun as rank outsiders, with the so called "EXPERTS tipping an Essendon victory 23 to 3.   Todays  game, proved  once again why so many who hate Collingwood do so because of  total  jealousy.   Due to  the Magpies great passion, and fighting spirit, which is the mystique of Collingwood, and combined with the clubs great supporter base, its just somethng no other AFL club will EVER possibly equal.     There is a saying you either love Collingwood or hate them,   however there are more who love em, but those who hate, are just simply and sadly bitterly jealous.     Peter t ,I sincerly hope you enjoyed your first game .
