I was not approved for any credit card..?

Question

that i applied to.

capital one - young adults card/ with a limted history of credit

and also a discover card.

they both mailed me a letter saying the reason they did not approve me was because i had missing or unavailable information in my credit report.

it couldnt be that its because i have no credit history.. of course i have no credit history im a freshman in college.

my relative had no credit at all and they approved her.. what could be missing or unavailable in my report? what does that exactly mean?

also, t mobile denied me also.

what could be going on?

who knows w/ these companies anymore....if you have a job it should be good but if you don't , that may be the reason

sounds like you dont necessarily have bad credit but you have waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many inquiries on your credit report. what this looks like to companies is that you are desperately seeking credit at a rampant rate and when they see so many inquiries tehy are scared off.

you should get a letter in the mail from the big dudes who handle your redit rating, and they will tell you how you can find out. if they dont go back to where you tried to get your mobile, and ask for the phone number, and they HAVE to give it to you.

i got approved with no history.

how long ahve you been working. you normally have to have 6 mth before anyone looks at you.
