I was offered a job by Zenith Bank PLC London. Is it safe to accept?Is it genuine?

Some time back I applied through sun oil Gas co. London. Now I received and offer for contractual work for 24 months. They say they have informed High Commission to facilitate Work permit & visa. All terms are attrctive. I am 71 yrs with 35 yrs of work experience specially in Bank & Training fields. How to find out if this is genuine or not? How to risk proceeding further. They advised me to obtain to proceed for visa & work permit through UK Gateway Travel Agency Ltd.. I did not Will they ask for money to proceed further, whihc I am not. They may adjust expenses from my salary. Can any one advise me in definite terms of yes or no. Thanks

SCAM

No UK company would employ anyone who is 71 years old..  They will ask you for money and then rob you.  Don't reply.

I suggest you go to the embassy/high commission in your country and ask them. THey will know where the scams are regarding this kind of thing. Never trust an 'on spec' offer, there is bound to be a catch. You can only really obtain work in the UK if you are not taking a job from someone else - have you ever known there to be a shortage of bankers?

And although ageism is technically illegal, don't hold your breath! I'm old in my fifties and struggle with finding work sometimes, it cant get easier over retirement age.
