I was out in the sun and my face turned red. How long until the redness goes away?

i went to vacation in cali and i forgot my sunscreen ): and now my face is all red.. also after the redness fades will my skin become dark? it was pale

if it is really red it may peel soon or it might turn to tan in a few days(like two or three)

Depends on how bad the sunburn is. I had a really bad sunburn on my back, and it never pealed. Nor did I get a tan afterwards.
