Question:

I was parked outside my home, a truck passing hit my car with a storage what can i do?the neighbor owned it?

I called the neighbor and he says that he was not even home and that his son was the one who sold the storage to someone they do not even know. should i hold the neighbor responsible since he was the owner of the storage that hit my car.My insurance does not cover this type of occurence so what should I do

  1. I agree with the first answer, call the police NOW and don't wait.

File a hit and run insurance claim.  Your neighbor is not responsible unless he/she was driving the vehicle that struck your car regardless of who owned the storage unit that was being carried.  Even if it was your neighbor's son, if you didn't get any of his information (license/registration) at the time of the accident, it's too late now because then it will be after the fact and there's no way to prove he/she caused the accident.  Of course, if you file a hit and run claim, your insurance will increase because there is nobody to blame for the accident and the insurance company will have to pay out of their own pocket.  If you rather not deal with insurance, then suck it up and pay for the repairs out of your own pocket.
