I was playing AnimalCrossing DS, I came across what looked liked a giant red flower, does anyone know wht itis

This thing was rather large, red && had flyings buzzing around it, it has 5 'petals'. This is the first time I've ever seen such a thing on Animal Crossing DS

According to my source it's called a Rafflesia.  It appears when you have A LOT of weeds in your town and will be gone once you pull them all out.

its a rafflesia. it tells u if u have 2 many weeds and get a net and there will b flys near it.
