  2. Format is what you do after you transfer all your images to the computer.  Formatting refreshes the card, writes new file folders and a new image index file.

Maybe, just maybe, an image recovery program can find some of the image files on your card ... unless you have used it since to put more images on it.

    Take these steps.

    * Do not use the card

    * Buy a new card to use (2GB is a good size)

    * Buy an image recovery program

    * Buy a card reader (these programs can take hours to run and your cameras batteries will not last long enough ... having the batteries fail in the middle of your recovery can cause further damage to the files)

In the future, transfer all your images to your computer at the end of the day.  Format the card so it is ready for all your new photos you will be shooting next and charge your batteries.

  3. First DO NOT take any more photos--any new photos will write over the space on the card.

    Second, buy this: http://www.lexar.com/software/image_resc...

This program will be able to recover your photos.

After all that is done, I would like you to go over the camera manual so you see what each function does carefully.
