I was put on Prozac and now I have to pee a lot more than usual, is that normal?

So yeah I have noticed a lot of side affects with Prozac. Is having to pee frequently one of them too?

  1. Yes, you may have also noticed that you drink more as it can cause dry mouth as well.  The meds can be slight diuretics and effect some people more than others.

    I hope the prozac is helping you and you are doing better overall.


  2. You are right about the approximate amount of time it takes to be effective.  If you have the time to take off, its probably a good idea.  I have anxiety as well and I know how miserable it can be.  As PAC said, the dry mouth is one of the side effects to expect.
