I was raised in the old school?

Question

I have a real problem excepting people of other ethnicity's. Not all just some those who come to my country and don't want to blend in, but to change the culture to fit them...ie. Speaking the language which is part of my culture. Any suggestions on how I can become more accepting of others?

Remember that this country is made up of about 15% Native Americans and the other 85% are either immigrants or the descendants of immigrants

Sure, think about what would happen when you go to Spain, should they give you American rights?

Recently in China a bunch of Christians went over for the Olympics to preach their faith. However China does not support that in the open, and only for private use; so they confiscated 300 bibles from them and the Christians are severely upset. Why do you think they should be given the rights of an American when they touch down on the land of another nation?

In all truth they shouldn't.

But America has been founded on freedoms that other nations such as China do not allow. Now this being America, we should embrace the benefits that every culture can bring to us. We have Jazz music, Tejano, Rock, Rap, Bluegrass, ect. What would we have without acceptance but a nation that takes away items that empower individualism?
