  2. They finally caught up to you. I knew a guy who was always taken off trains in Europe because his name was the same as some criminal. That's life.

  3. Probably!  They may have thought you were acting as a "mule", carrying drugs from Jamaica.

  4. Technically, you should not be detained at all.

American citizens always have the right of return - even with an expired passport.

If your run in with the law was resolved in 1972, you should then protest this matter and see that you are issued an apology.  The government has to clearly understand that it has no right to harrass citizens - it is here to serve us.

As was said: Government should live in fear of the people, not the other way around.

  5. Leave your turban at home next time !

  6. Could just be you share a name with someone who isn't so blameless. The chances are pretty fair that once you've been held up by CBP, you'll continue to run into the same hassle every time you come in. It's much easier to get on a list than off.

  7. What is your question?  I am having trouble readding it because of the all caps.

Any time you have a run in with the law, this will get added to your record, and will add to future hassles,  A good reason to try to keep such things to a minimum.

  8. Ya'mon that is a very goood question. but how was the ganja mon? Smoke a spiff for me mon.
