I was recently diagnosised with fibromyalgia any suggestion for relief for morning stiffness?

I just find if I take my Celebrex and Cymbalta at night right before I go to sleep and then 1st thing in the morning then walk around the house doing small tasks, I loosen up fairly quickly.  It takes me a little longer on the mornings it gets to my feet real bad though.  I also don't sleep in one position for any length of time and quite often even have to get up and walk to the kitchen for a glass of water or something if I am beginning to feel the pain set in already.  I do anything it takes to avoid taking pain medication.  A lot of times I can't even sit to watch a 30 minute TV program, let alone an entire movie.

     Fibromyalgia is a syndrome, sorry to say, it's classed in a sort of class of it's own when they don't know what else to call something.

     They will give a disease 24 points, like sore knees, sore hips, and so on down the line. If you have eighteen of these points, you have Fibromyalgia. There's nothing more then pain pills that you can take to help. It's an arthritic malady.

      A friend works with arthritis patients in a therapy unit swimming pool. She says she also works with these Fibromyalga patients. I'm sure it would be very beneficial to you if you could find a place near you like this. I have a friend that has this and is like you.

FMS is beleived to be a neurological condition (disorder of the central nervous system)

it was previously wrongly thought to be musculoskeletal/rheumatological--

only the symptoms are in the muscles--the casue is neuro...

the only think i can do is stretch and take it clow in the morning--keep an assistive device next to teh best in case you need it
