he is however a greedy sleeper hard to wake and likes his snooze button which ive no problem with he works hard. he told my 3 year old if she didnt want to go back to bed it was fine to stay up and play in her room. she used to sleep 7 - 8 am but its got to the stage where shes getting up at 6 waking us all not great at quiet.. then at 9 shes tired. ive learnt her what 7 oclock is on her clock and told her she has to sleep until then as this is the time she will need to be up once shes at school. my hubby doesnt think theres a problem with her having a nap but i do shes at nursery in the afternoon and hasnts needed a nap since 1 what do you think if shes up at 7 then she doesnt need one anyway.

  1. Is this a sudden change in routine? Could this be to do with the fact that you were in hospital? I would give her a bit more time to readjust, if this is the case. If not then just be patient and keep on with the routine you are trying to set her. Bear in mind that young kids don't need as much sleep as adults though.

  2. children need to learn how to tell time early and its a great idea to teach them to back to sleep on their own.
