  1. If the police not called,  you can pay to fix the damage out of your pocket and not tell the insurance company.

  2. I would like to recommend you possess as much information as you can before taking action, here is a good place for that purpose.http://car-insurance.easyideas4u.info/ca...

  3. It all depends on the other driver.  If they file a report with their insurance agency then they will come to you for payment.  On the other hand if you contact the other driver and offer to pay for the damage (and DO pay for it), the matter will be settled there and then.

It doesnt hurt to ask him/her.  Worst case is the answer will be no.

and then you are no worse off then you are right now.

  4. Need much more info...

But here's the fact.  Small dent or not,  when it comes to body work, it's not cheap at all. Did the police show up.

Did the other driver make a report. Will he work it out with you.

Are you going to be able to really afford the fix to his car when he produces a bill that surprises the heck out of you...

It all depends on who you hit and whether or not they trust you will fix it for them without your insurance. In todays society people protect themselves by getting written proof by a police officer. They then call their insurance company, they

will probably expect you to report it to yours.

So what actually happened at the scene....Did you speak to

the other driver or did  the police come. And if they did, what did they tell you...

Hope this helps you.. ( just be happy no one got hurt ), although there are many people out there who would go to the

hospital and claim whiplash to the neck so they can really sue

the pants off you.... Hopefully, this is not anywhere nears that

    situation...

    Kev

  5. only if the cops came, or the other driver contacted their insurance. if the two drivers agree not to contact, then you really dont have to
