my honda window was busted (i very stupidly left my purse on the floor board) they took my purse and a bunch of other belongings over 10 credit cards, lic, ss sec. cards, etc., etc.! the thing that has me most worried now is that inside my purse was a spare key to my car... now that they have my address i am afraid they will return and steel my car.. i figure since they have a key an alarm wont help me much.... what about those club things ... anyone have a recommendation.. if i didnt live alone i'd have someone park behind me...

  1. You can get a different ignition switch. But cheaper things you can get LoJack. they track your car if its stolen. But Hondas are real easy to get into especially the 2000 and older models. you dont need any tools except a screwdriver and thats it

  2. 1. toggle switch.

    2. bosch relay.

    3. wiring and terminals.

    4. wire this up through to your ignition switch.

    5. hide the toggle switch like under the seat but not in the glove-box.

  3. watch the answers on the guy about 3 or 4 lines above you... the one asking how to hotwire a car.  maybe you will catch your thief there!

  4. If you can't do this yourself, have your b/f do it for you...  Remove the shroud around the steering column, and locate the wire (probably red) which runs from the key-switch to the coil.  Cut this wire somewhere hidden, where it tucks under the dash-board, and splice into it a switch, which you will hide out of sight.  Put everything back, and even with your key, a thief will think that you car just won't start!  They can crank the key all they like, it will NEVER start all the while your secret switch is thrown.

Another possible location for a switch is near the fuel-pump, close to the fuel-tank.  Your car needs the injection-pump to be running for it to start.  Splice a switch in here (on one of my cars, I use a key-switch, which again is hidden) and again, they can crank all they like, that car is dead!  Cost should be pocket change to you.

  5. you got your self into a real mess with this one. Have a fuel cut off switch installed somewere out of sight but handy for you to use<
