I was running norton 360

Question

I was running norton 360 and I uninstalled it. Durning the uninstall process it asked did i want to reset to windows firewall - I left it checked. I then proceeded to install kraversky lab. I lost my internet connection. When I run a diagnostic on it - it says check your firewall. I have no clue what it wants me to do. I'm running windows xp home. The only restore point it would let me successfully restore back to was after i uninstalled norton 360. I was able to get my connection back to the internet. I tried to install avast and again I lost internet connectivity. Any and all help would be appreciated.
