It all started when i bought an item using ebay. As soon as I won the auction, the seller told me he would send a paypal invoice and I had to check my email for it. I checked my email and paid. The seller then told me my item should arrive within 3-5 days. IT'S BEEN 15!!! I have tried contacting the person but getting no replies.

What I just realized is, the seller sent me an invoice outside of ebay and marked it as a "service". I feel so stupid right now

My question is, how can I get paypal to release the sellers info, like an address so I can get in contact with the seller? Do they even allow it? I don't know what there privacy policies are

I've already filed for a dispute, but I'm thinking the person has already cleared it.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

  1. contact ebay

  2. never settle a bid outside of ebay/paypal. there is just too many scams. do contact ebay and paypal with your story but you may be out the 450.

  3. Did you pay with Paypal with an e-check? That was always my problem because it would come out of my bank account right away then it would take a week for Paypal to clear it. Then when the person transferred it to their account if their bank holds it they wait until they KNOW they have the money and shipping is 3-5 days from then. The only thing I can suggest is dispute it and go through eBay. I hope you didn't get scammed.

  4. Well sorry to hear that... Usally Paypal could find out where the money when to... If it was a real paypal account the reciver has his ssn on file banking infromation etc... Paypal should be able to get your mone back... Did you talk to ebay allso.... Paypal cannot send you his information, unless asked by the police to obtain person information... Paypal will have a law-suite if they relase the information to you., If you paid with your banking account disput it with them also... Your bank usally could get the money back back
