I was scratched by a cat

I was scratched by a cat 2 days ago? It's bleeding. I washed the wound 8 hours later. Is there any chance i can get rabies? I'm so worried about this...

rabies is transmitted by saliva. not claws

if it bite you then you have a potential for problems

Not to worry, the chance of you getting rabbies are very low. Also, rabbies are not transmitted through a scratch but by a bite (infected saliva). So, there is no need to be alarmed at all. Just make sure that the scratch wound is not too deep or infected. Some Neosporin will help it heal nicely. It you develop any kind of infection to the scratch site, please do visit your physician.

chill, i get scratched by cats all the time(did). I used to rescue ferral cats. Never had a problem
