My car was stolen about 8 months ago, and they caught the guy. I've told both the police and lawyers everything I can - not sure what else they want me to say. What is this evidentiary hearing about and why would I need to be there?

Not that I don't want the guy to get convicted - I do - but I'm loosing another day off of work, and I'm not really sure what purpose me being there will have.
