Ive been on birth control for three months. I skipped the green period pills last month as I was going on a trip and didnt want to have my period. I started spotting through my pills when I returned so I stopped taking them to begin my period. It has been two weeks now since I stopped and I havent had anything major. One day where I spotted some but then stopped. I used to start my period within a couple days if I stopped taking the pills. No other pregnancy symptoms are present. Is it possible that I am pregnant?

  1. 1) ur doctor should have instructed you to not stop ur pills just cause of spotting. its normal for that to happen...at least at first and taking those pills will mess with ur system so that doesnt mean ur pregnant. id give it a couple more weeks. take a test of u want to be sure...

  2. It is possible - nothing but abstinence is 100% certain.

People spot when the fertilized egg attatches itself to the uterus lining.

I say - wait one more week, then if nothing happens, get an at home pregnancy test.

    Best to be certain.

  3. having unprotected s*x, ther is ALWAYS and possability.

  4. have you had unprotected s*x lately ?

and if you stop taking the birth control for any reason,

and start it again, it affects the way it works,

which means for that month it probably didn't work,

and you should have used back up protection,

if you had unprotected s*x, its a possibility

  5. i doubt your pregnant its probably the plan b mixed with you not taken the pills. sometimes birthday control messes with your period. i wouldn't be overly conecerned. if you are really worried wait a week or until the spotting stops and take a test

  6. Your hormones were probably off, I doubt you are pregnant but being off your birth control could change that.

  7. If you stopped taking the pill and had unprotected s*x, it is possible that you are pregnant.  I know girls who skip the green ones so they don't get their period, but I don't recommend it.  I consider my period a sign that I am not pregnant.

It is normal to have spotting during the first year while you are on the pill.  If you really want to skip your period, you can look into trying a pill that specifically prevents you from getting your period.  I think Yaz lets you go three months without it.  I would suggest you use a condom from now until you are back on, because during the first month you are on the pill, you can still get pregnant.  You also have to take the pill at the same time everyday, or you increase your risk of pregnancy.

  8. i doubt it.  your body is probably just a little messed up.  it'll go back to normal in time.
