But I get migrains so my biggest fear is to get one and need to go to the ER but not being able to go or having a 500 dollar bill.

  1. You may be in luck.  In PA it is possible to buy health insurance that is stripped of  mandated coverages (i.e. mental health counseling, drug and alcohol rehab, etc.)  if you meet certain low income restrictions.  [at least you could 4 years ago]

Get in touch with either Highmark, Capitol Blue Cross, or Independence Blue Cross, depending upon where you live.  Tell them you are interested in the insurance for low income people.    it is really good insurance available for a decent price that will cover most health needs.  If you ave insurance now don't giv eit up until you know you can get this.

  2. If you are in a committed relationship -- or do you have second thought about your BF..   You do not have to be 21 to marry.  Some states need a blood test to get married along with a marriage license.    Couple of hours of your time and a trip to the court house and $25 your married.   Till death do you part..

  3. You have several options.  Among them are:

    1.  Keep your job and go to school at night.

    2. Check with the school to see if they have student medical insurance.  It is usually very easy to get and inexpensive.

    3. Get married now and go on your husband's insurance.

    4. Check with social services to see if PA is available in Pa.

  4. Well, you can try to get your own coverage - there are alot of medical plans offered to college students.  Check with the school to see if they have any information.  Also, see if you qualify for the Medical assistance - if your income is low enough, you may get free assistance.

If you get your own coverage, your migraines may be excluded anyway.

First places to check would be the school and your local medical assistance office.
