I was supposed to recieve the stimulis (rebate check) on july 4th and it still has not arrive ?

i checked the irs webite on wehn my rebate check would come in and it said july 4th it is july10th and i still have not recieved my check can somone explain to me whats up with that???? i do meet requirements on recieving a check

My sister and her husband got a letter with stating July 4th as the date they'd get theirs.  But, since July 4 was a holiday... and it was on Fri., then no mail Sunday... she got it Monday.  But, she lives in Maryland... mail from D.C. to Maryland shouldn't take over a day to arrive.  I'd give it a little while if it has to travel further to reach you before I got worried.

there's also a number for you to call on the same letter you got.

either way, don't count on anything by a particular date if it is coming from the IRS ... EVER

Well I assume you got a letter of notice beforehand.  If you read it carefully, it says to give it six weeks, then to contact the IRS if you still haven't received the check by then.   I know that's grim news, but that's what it says.  I hope it doesn't wind up being that way for me.  Hopefully you also still have the letter of notice.  It's sort of important.
