I was talking to my friend about starting to wear thongs?

Question

i was talking to my friend about starting to wear thongs and she said that when she was 13 she bought some and put them in the washing basket and when her mum found them she just said "so this is the new thing now?" her mum then brought her out and bought her some thongs. would this work if i tried? has any of you ever did this. if not how did you start wearing them?

I think i was 12 when i started wearing thongs , now i think back i was so young , but at the time i thought i was the only one not wearing them , i dont reccomend doing what your friend did , you need to ask your mum , just go up to her and say mum i want to start wearing thongs , or buy some and then say mum i bought some thongs today is that ok ? , trust me she will be happy that youve asked her first. =] x*x

my mom is very strict so she would probably ask a million questions if i asked her to wear thongs, haha. but i dont know your mom. dont sneak around like that though, thats wrong. just go to the store with her one day and casually be like

"hey can i get some new panties?"

& grab some.

I started wearing thongs in the 8th grade, 12 years old.

what i did was i went to forever 21 and wet seal with my friends and bought them for cheap. Then, i'd only wear them during school, and change right when I got home. Pretty soon, I started not taking them off when i got home. My mom probably started to see them. then once when we went to the store i asked her if i could buy some and she was like , "i dont want to be the one buying you those things". so that means she doesnt mind as long as i bought them-i guess. Anyway, i'm 16 yrs old now and i still wear thongs everyday. I love 'em.

I don't understand why most people would want to wear Thong's other than to remove pantie lines but in all honesty I agree with 13 being kind of young for this. They're weird and uncomfortable at first (I've tried them & couldn't do it). I was told once you get used to it you don't notice it anymore HOWEVER, wearing a thong for to long and leaving it in while you sleep can lead to yeast infections. Something to think about before pantie shopping :)

don't play games with your mom. if you want to start wearing thongs then tell her. not for any s*x reasons just because you think they are comfortable and you hate panty lines( thats why i wear them) if you only want them because your friends then thats the wrong reasons. you want to wear something adult then you need to act like an adult and talk to her about it. she will respect you more, and trust me throwing hissy fits and stomping around when she says no will just make her not want buy them for you more.

my mom actually asked me if i wanted one... it used to be a joke between us before we bought them, and one day she finally bought one, and about a month lateri saw one i iked, and she asked me if i wanted it.

Have you actually tried wearing a thong?, they're awful I'm 17 and i don't wear them. My mum loves thongs and shes 45 in a couple of days, i guess i tried thongs at your age probably younger.

I was 13 when I started wearing thongs. I just told my mom I needed to go underwear shopping. Then I held up a thong and said this is cute! She was like "Have you ever tried a thong" and I told her no. She said "buy it and see if you like it."

i just wanted to let you know, be careful about this.

because there is a study that showed women who wore thongs were more apt to having infections in their v****a.

Why?

because the little string thing rubs over your a**s, and them when you sit a certain way it could move to your v****a depositing any fluid or anything from your a**s to your v****a, causing problems.

Just don't sleep in them, and unless you wear tampons, don't put a pad on them. safe some "period underwear" for those days.

Placing them in the hamper could cause conflict, just ask her to take you pantie shopping. A good way to sneak a thong is saying "MOM BUT THIS IS THE ONLY UNDERWEAR THAT MATCHES MY BRA" =] now why a 13yr old needs matching undergarments idk, but...it's worth a shot lol.

Don't listen to the first answer. If your comfortable wear them. Talk to your mom about it or next time your out shopping just ask her, tell her it's for comfort reasons. For me i just went out and bought them, my mom didn't mind. :)

You may want to skip spending your money on them until you know how your mom feels.  Just ask her, say a lot of girls are wearing them, and give other reasons why you would like to, other than "everyone else is doing it" - like if you do think they are more comfortable, or if they fit better under your clothes or whatever.  She may or may not agree that they are appropriate for you at this time.  I have a 13 yr. old sister, and I know she has absolutely no interest in wearing thongs, and my mom is probably not the type to let her wear them even if she wanted to.  Ask first, and talk calmly and rationally to her about it.

I would just get them when I'm at the mall er something, with a friend. and wash them yourself, and hopefully you're mom don't find out till you're older. =) that's what my sister did. lol
