I was talking with my best friends fiancee

and he mentioned that all girls plan their weddings when they are younger. I've heard that before but I never really thought about it until he was talking about. I know I have never really thought about how I would have my wedding. I was kind of wondering, in general, do most girls have a dream wedding?

We dream of a big romantic wedding with a huge wedding dress designed by some famous designer, gorgeous honeymoon.  Happily ever after stuff.  Good if it really happens but generally unrealistic expectations.

My 14 year old "God Daughter" spent over 30 minutes telling me all about her wedding.  She has it all planned: her dress, bridesmaid's dresses, her Dad's suit, flowers, food, cake and even the place this will all take place.  Only problem, she has no idea who the Groom is.  I think it just must be part of growing up, to plan her fairytale wedding.

When they are little girls, yes, most women do dream of a big white wedding. I stopped wanting one (and a husband) when I was 15 or 16.

i never really thought of as a kid my wedding. i didnt think anyone would want to marry me. i always thought it would be nice to have a nice wedding but not really think about it in detail

I didn't.  I never cared for weddings and didn't plan them at all.  When I was a little girl I mostly wanted to be Robin Hood, and weddings did not feature at all in my fantasies.  The didn't when I got older either.  My parents got married in a registry office with just two witnesses, and went and had lunch afterwards.  That always seemed to me the ideal wedding, I could never understand why people wanted an ostentatious wedding with a lot of people staring at them.  And I still don't understand it.
