I would like to have one of those adoption agencies where the child knows who his birth mother is and I am able to keep in contact with the birth mother so that if she wants pictures and contact with her child she can have it at any time. I think that is the best option for the child what do you think?

  1. mabe you have the right idea,my sister adopted a baby girl 2 weeks old when she was 14 my sister told her she was adopted that was a big mistake this child can never forget that her mother abanded her.You will be asked many questions you must have certain amount income, they will come and check your home from time to time, but it was all worth it this child has grown to a beautiful women she is my niece cares about me

  2. Definately have an open adoption it's better for the child in the long run because you didn't "keep it from them" they have the right to know your not the "real" parent. it sounds crue....but it's much better

  4. adoption is great

i was adopted but it was closed

it takes a strong person to want an open adoption.

i would like to adopt some day

    good luck

    some companies offer adoption assistance

  5. I think the BEST option would be to take in a foster child who is currently waiting for a home.  Depending on the situation, you can still keep in contact with his/her parents (or extended family).

  6. You would be very open-minded to want the mother involved in the child's life.  I would personally have my nose bent after going through the trials and tribulations of raising a child and then having another woman step in every now and then and "claim" that she's the mother.  If you can be as open-minded as you seem to want to be...I congratulate you.  Many of the children I have seen that are up for adoption are usually children that have come from abusive situations and the parental rights have been terminated.  These kids come with a lot of baggage and you should be prepared for therapy for these kids and behavioral problems you will have to contend with.  It can be done and I bless the hearts of all people that are able to jump into these situations.  I know, personally, I could not be one of them.
