Is this a decent job to get into? I was thinking about specializing in sports related injuries and also have a certificate in alternative cures...

  1. I prefer the Non US Osteopathic model myself (but I am biased).

Chiropacors are highly trained & well informed in A&P  + Pathology & well practiced in  Neuro testing Orthopaedic testing and field level clinical tests.

If you trained as a chiropractor you would be well placed to do additional specialism in sport care and there are some excellet post grad courses available.

I am going down the Involuntary motion / Paediatrics route myself but many non US trained Osteopaths go down the route of sports care.

PS. I you want to know about chiropractic listen to people who work in the field or related fields. Don't listen to bitter suppoters of allopathy who seem to think only allopaths have exclusive rights to healthcare provison.

Its like takng advice from a tramp living under a bridge on how to become a millionaire.

  2. I hear chiropractic is a very decent job, to practice you need to get your doctorate in chiropractic. They make lots of money but school for this profession is very expensive, and are mostly private institutions.

This comment is for SKEP DOC 2.0....alternative medicine and remedies are very powerful and useful and in some cases better that pharmaceutical medicine.

What certificates or qualifications do you have to be Critiquing or make Comments about subjects that  you don’t know what the h**l you are talking about….. OH, and just to probe on a previous question Massage Therapy is a regulated profession. Its called the department of State Health Services. You and your friend Stuart should do your research correctly.

  3. Well this is all I know.

My dad is a chiropractor and you won't even believe the money he makes! It's really expensive to to go a chiropractor so they make  A LOT of money! And yes it's a very decent job to get into :) My dad really likes it! But you have to go to a lot of seminars so if you don't like those then you can skip them but those seminars help!

    GOOD LUCK! :)

  4. If you are a thinking person, chiropractic may not be the best career choice for you.

What the h**l is a "certificate in alternative cures"...sounds like some bogus New Age weekend course you took.

  5. It's a great job if you enjoy helping people.  Chiropractors are generally well informed about nutrition (unlike MDs who aren't require to take a single class) and look for the cause of ailments rather than treating the symptoms.

  6. It means a lot of hard work so 'thinking' about it  won't work.

You do this for the love of chiropractic practices, and also earn a lot of money. Chiropractic is not alternative. It is anatomy and physiology in it's finest form.
