http://www.mycarauctionreview.com has some car auction sites with good, cheap cars. Since a lot of people are getting their cars repo'd they have a lot of well maintained, newer model cars for dirt cheap.

Most used car web sites allow you to search on price. Try usedcars.com, ebay.com, craigslist.com and others. Here's an article that has some other suggestions:

I usually use craigslist.com.  You can search by deal or by owner.  I would bring someone with you who knows about cars though.  Buying from an individual can always be risky.  Good luck!!
