I was thinking of getting 2 Memphis PR 15s and a 500 watt amp, good choice?

I was looking at getting Memphis PR 15s and the 500 watt PR amp. I was wondering how much more it would cost for 2 M3 12s and whatever amp would best work with that.

hey, yeah everyone i talk to about memphis says there really good, and comparable to the JL w7 series but they cost less and have a good warranty, i found a site a few days ago that listed all of the prices but i forgot what it was, try googling memphis sub prices or memphis subs.  but 2 memphis 15's will BANG! im jealous of you, im trying to save up 300 to get two memphis 12's.

500w amp is nowhere near enough wattage for 1 15 let alone 2!

If you buy 2 Memphis 15s you'll need about a 2000w amplifier.

The 12's would probably cost less but you stated it would be more, but if they were less, then you could buy a bigger amp. 500w amp is useful for component speakers such as door and rear speakers, not subwoofers.
