I was thinking of getting an xbox 360 off ebay? anything i should look out for?

My bro did the same and the 360 was ****** up!

My cousin did the same and it was messed up as well!

They're so cheap when they're ****** up 360's!

To be safe buy one at the store... They'll be more expensive but NEW!

I wouldn't get an xbox 360 new let alone used.  Don't do it.  It does have problems.  and not just the overheating.  My husband sent it in three times for repairs within the firts six months and then traded it in for a ps3.  Just get the ps3.  save yourself a lot of hassle and time without the console.  it wasted a good 500 bucks because they certainly don't give you what you paid for it.

i bought my 360 off ebay.. i would suggest not buying one that is really cheap but u should go for one within the $150 - 200 range

I bought a 360 refurbished off of ebay. It worked for about 2 months then i got the Red Rings of Death ( it broke). I emailed the guy and he sent me a different one that works fine. If you are going to get a refurb or used, make sure they have a return policy.

Yo dawg don't buy the 350 off ebay because of the red rings man just not safe I would buy a ps3 off ebay.

For starters, you probably want to look for a 360 that has the HDMI output.  That pretty much guarantees that the 360 will have the Falcon chip.  If you're not sure, ask what the power is for the power brick.  If it's 175, it has the Falcon chip.  If it's 203 W, then it doesn't have the Falcon chip.

The Falcon chip just reduces your chance of getting the ring of death, but it doesn't guarantee that you won't get the ring of death.
