  1. You should definately ride it! I am totally obsessed with it. Ok.

The ride is themed. (the stories are completely fictional so don't let them freak you out beyond it being fun.) It seems to be a 1930's hotel that was struck by lightning. The people in the elevator at the time died. It is completely deserted. When you go into the library (a holding area) a Twilight Zone mini episode starts. The idea is that you are in your very own episode of the Twilight Zone. The elevators stopped working when the hotel was struck by lightning (fictionally, although ironically it was struck during construction). However, the maintinance service elevators still work and you get to ride in them. They, of course, break with you on them (or are the ghosts from the Twilight Zone haunting you? You decide!) and it shoots you up and down and up and down the elevator shaft in a random pattern. You go down at a speed faster than gravity and up very fast as well. The ride is completely safe. There are no cables that could get stuck on your feet because it is enclosed. The lapbars have been replaced with seat belts so you can't fly out of your seat. And, you can only see outdoors when the windows open at the top of the shaft. And what a view that is! I hope I helped.

  2. The only thing actually scary is the first drop, because you're totally in the dark, and you don't know exactly when it's coming.  But then it's almost like being on a swing, it's so gentle.  The way it catches you and throws you back up in the air and catches you again - there's nothing jarring about it.

It's incredibly fun.  I've been on it with little kids, and with adults who hate rollercoasters (and get motion sick) - and I haven't been on it yet with anyone who didn't love it.

  3. It's this fun ride in MGM Studios.  You go into this room and hear the story.  You step into the elevator and take a seat.  You will see some objcts and people and theroies in black and white from the past.  The, when you least expaect it you drop down.  You let out a sudden scream of happiness, joymen, and being frightend.  You go up and down lik 3 times.  You finally reach the basement and you see a picture of people and their eyes are glowing.  You go up and down again but there is a picture thing flashes.  After you get off the ride and look at ur photo.  That's basically it.

  4. You must go on the tower of terror it is fantastic!!

The elevator takes you up several floors then stops at the top. A door opens in front of you and a camera takes your photo and then..... the elevator DROPS LIKE A STONE!!!

  5. It's definately a thrill you don't want to miss. When you are falling there is less gravity. I was wearing three necklaces when I went on and during the fall(s) my necklaces were litterally floating in midair as if we had reached a zero gravity zone! It was creepy but at the sametime it was an experience of a lifetime! Also check out the gift shop at the end of the ride, they have all kinds of hotel merchandise you can buy!

  6. i recently just went to disneyland/california adventure over spring break, and my friend and i went on it 17 times! it is one of the best rides in the park, and totally not scary at all. keeping you arms up in air makes the ride so much better! hope you like it!!

  7. well i live in florida so ive obviously been on it , and its fun, it is like free falling with an intro, but if you go on it, make sure u dont have anything in a shirt pocket, you will lose it!

i suggest you go on it, or go to cedar point, its freakin amazing

  8. OMG! its sooo much fun... first u have to wait in line (of course) then u go into this room where you watcha short video about the tower of terror. many people dont no but when u watch the video u are slowly moving (cuz its an elevator) which takes u to another line where u get on the elevator that drops u. when u get on the elevator, u have to sit down and buckle in. the fist time i went i though we had to stand!!! so the elevator goes up, and it moves through a room where u see different things like ghosts. then u come the the part with the drop!!! first u shoot up then it takes a picture when u are at the very top right before u go down. but thats not all.... u go up and down to different levels of the "hotel" many times and at every level u stop at the windows in front of u open so everyone outside can see u and u can see everything. so basically it goes from complete darkness to the outside brightness!!! then it is supposed to feel like it elevator shaft breaks and u and the elevator go fallin down the shaft!!! and then u get off the ride!!!! its never the same each time but i hope u have fun if u go on it!!!!!!!

i hope i told u enough!!! i sorry if i spoiled the ride for u though!!!! but it is sooooooo much fun!!!!!

  9. My daughter and her friend (16years old) went on it for the first time last year. First time is scary, then it is a blast. You go thorough the hotel and get a background story. The elevators go up and drop down several times and also move forward out of the elevator shaft, so nothing is around you, and back. It is a programed  sequence so you get a different ride each time you go on.

  10. yeah its fun i went a few times over the past 15 years and my great grama whent on it she was like 75 she liked it

  11. I worked at Disney for about a year and i used to before going home go to MGM and ride the tower of terror at least 4 or 5 times a week. I love it. They actually managed to make it spontaneous and no two rides are the same. Some have more drops than others and some are faster. You will probably do a long line depending on the season. It has a really nice exterior because is a Hollywood hotel (it has to do with the story) and every detail down to co webs is amazing. The people that work there have the greatest attitude. Go and ride it more than once!

  12. The best ride ever!
