Question:

I was thinking...?

The "democracy system" (if that is the correct term) of our beloved Prophet (SAW) and his companions (RA) was sooo perfect. In our musjid, this sytem is used a lot and I have seen barqat in having an ameer in ways like their decision making and much more. I really like the fact that the one who can take the position of an Ameer is trustworthy and wise. Very diferent from the leaders today who only seek for more power. I heard in a buyaan that sign of Qiyamah (Day of Judgement) is that a time will come when an Ameer is selected from their rank of power and not for their piety (happening right now isn't it?).

  1. Salam for you my dear friend. Yes you are right and I agree with you that democracy system and musyawarah (all significant decisions should be discussed and approved by the majority) are very good and so perfect. Democracy is presented in the application of prayer at the mosque who is headed by the leader called imam or khotib. Yes the leaders today are based on power and are not based on the needed skill. They are not trustwothy and unwise. The prophet and rasool Muhammad pbuh said that if this situation happened please wait until destruction  and colapse..There are many signs of Qiyamah and this condition is  one among the signs.

  2. how happening now, who's that Ameer?

Edit: i know it means a leader, but who is that leader your talking about?

  3. Well, that makes sense. People get to vote in elections, regardless of what sort they may be. A God fearing intellectual's vote has been made equal to the vote of an ignorant, blasphemous fool. So the majority rules, regardless of whether their views are in accordance with those of God, or not.

I guess the idea of a council of the scholars who comprise the cream of the nation (like the shura companions of Umar R.A.)  with a head of the state seems worthy. Even if they vote on issues, it's better than the public voting and the politicians getting increasingly avaracious.
