  1. no

  2. I'd think about giving you 2 or 3 of my kids,

I haven't had a full nights sleep in years cause they wake

me up every night.  Maybe you could just watch them for a few weeks, while I repair my house, and catch up on my sleep.

But anyway, in all seriousness, if you dont make enough money, they'll turn you down, if you are not married, they might turn you down, If you dont have enough space in your house they might turn you down, If you've got a criminal history they will turn you down, and if your to ugly, they'll turn you down.

Just though i'd throw that last one in.

  3. No, that is not everywhere.  If you live in the US and are going through a state agency, it would be easier to foster to adopt than straight adoption.  I don't know how private agencies work.

  4. Wow! Talk about entitled.

Yes there are agencies that deal with infant adoption however I don't think you get to special order a child to look like you.  Sorry.

  5. When you expect a child you did not give birth to to "look as if" you gave birth to it--that's being pretty darned picky!

Many women who would have relinquished their babies in the past now keep them because the stigma of giving birth out of wedlock is largely gone.  Older children and special needs children who need homes and families, OTOH, are in  no short supply.

Perhaps you should take some time to consider why you think a child unrelated to you should look like you.  If you also expect this child to act like you, you're setting it and yourself up for disaster, resentment, and heartbreak.  Once you adopt it, that child IS "your own."

  6. It depends on how old you are. You said you are very young. Do you mean like, teenager? When you adopt a baby, you have to undergo an entire SLED investigation, your family has to be interviewed, you have to go to court. Its expensive, but worth it if you can responsibly take care of a baby. Adopting children is very hard. If you want a baby to look like it is your own, the wait a few years, find a respectable man/woman to marry and have a child, or adopt then. If you under 21, Social Services is not going to let you adopt a baby. Potentially, even if you are over 21 they might not let you. And no offense, but judging from the fact that you asked a question like this over the internet, makes me think that you are in no way to take care of a baby. Buy a computer and learn programming. Worry about children later.

  7. No. They might be looking at your age, marital status, income. Things like that. You should be able to adopt a child if you have enough to support yourself.

  8. Most adoption agencies require a few things from their prospective parents.  All the ones I talked to required the parents to be over 25, married for a minimum of 2 (some 5) years and they look at your finances.  Some require people who can't have children of their own for various medical reasons.

You may not be able to adopt, but have you considered foster care?  You would get a slightly older child and get money to help take care of them.  You can eventually adopt the child from the state.  I know the rules for foster care parents aren't as strict.  Some of the kids have issues, coming from abuse situations and all that, but most just want a stable home and someone to love them.  Its just another road to consider.

  9. It depends on your age, financial, psychological status

  10. no..

  11. It is harder to find a "baby" to adopt because they are in higher demand, many people like yourself wish to raise a child from infancy. There are thousands of "children" in the system, who go unadopted because of their age. Try looking into doing a privateadoption, ie finding a pregnant woman who wishes to put her child up for adoption once born. You will need  a lawyer to draw up paperwork etc. The other alternative of course is intl adoption, but then you are running into race issues, which it seems like you are trying to avoid. Good luck, I am sure there is a child out there just waiting for you, It might be a long process, but I am sure it will be well worth the wait.

  12. It is much harder and a longer wait to adopt a baby usually, unless it is an open adopt or semi open adoption where the birth parents pick you.

The problem is that so many people out there do not want older kids and only want babies so then they have to wait as there is a long waiting list. But older kids, and minorities are usually the last to be adopted and therefore easier to place.

Its a sad reality but that is what it is.

  13. why not take the training and become a foster parent, I know in my area, they do not have enough for all the kids that have been removed from their homes.....

  14. no.there are many orphanage in the world.u can adopt many children as u can.

  15. baby's are born every day they must of been a reason for that.

  16. How old are you?

Babies are not like puppies where you can get the pick from the litter.  Also, adoption is expensive and there is an intense screening process.

  17. No, that's not true. See a lawyer who handles adoptions.

  18. No, but most people want babies to adopt.  If you find a Mom on your own, you wouldn't have to compete with others.  A lot of people run classified ads in the newspaper, saying they can offer a nice home for an unwanted baby.  You say your extremely young?  Make sure you know what you're doing, think of the baby first.

  19. There are always babies to adopt, could be even one of a woman living in your street who can't raise her baby because she's too young for it or doesn't have the proper meanings to do it,sometimes you are looking for something far away when the solution for it lies right under our noses.
