You did nothing wrong!  If in fact she was selling a cat she should have known what you were talking about.  She simply should have replied "come in and look at my p***y" or "You can have my p***y for fifty bucks" or "Please play with my p***y" or something to that effect.  It sounds to me like she was thinking of something sexual or something.  Her bad not yours.
