  1. if you are an American resident you must show government issued photo ID and proof of residency, after June 2009 you must have a passport to enter Canada and return to the US

you were turned away because you didn't have these documents and were considered a risk that you would not leave Canada when you were supposed to

the border control have the right to deny anyone they are suspicious of

yes they can deny you again

  2. What is no d**n good reason?? That would help us answer your question.

  3. Being unable to  provide a permanent address is sufficient reason for being refused entry into Canada. Being unemployed AND having no permanent residence is enough to make any border guard suspicious. Get an address, get a passport, and get a job. Then call the border crossing station, tell them that you were refused entry for the above reasons, and ask whether they will allow you in once you have the necessary identification.

  4. I don't think that you are giving the whole story here.  There had to be at least one reason for the border turning you back.   Maybe you just looked guilty or sounded guilty or just looked funny...who knows.

  5. That depends why you were declined in the first place.

If we don't know the reason, we can't possibly say what will happen next time.

  6. The Canadian Border Security Agency obviously found a good and legal reason, to deny you entry to Canada.

NO ONE, except a returning Canadian citizen,  has a guranteed "right to enter Cnada "

In other words, YES , we can decide who we let into our country.  In your case it may have been for  any number of freasons /factors..

Criminal record ? Under age 19 ( a minor in Canada )  and on your own ? Had you been drinking or using illegal drugs ?

Not being truthfull about your reason for trying to enter Canada ?  Are you a run a way from home ?  Are there  criminal warrants in the USA out for you ?

So , yes we can and do deny entry to hundreds of Americans, EVERY day at our border entry points,  so you are not alone.

You should not attempt to enter Canada again,  for at least a 12 month  period of time.

  7. I find it doubtful that you were turned away "for no d**n good reason".

If you are not a Canadian citizen, you do not have an automatic right to visit Canada.  Our Border Guards are responsible for protecting the Canadian way of life -- just like the US Border Guards are.  People get turned away on both sides of the border every single day.

Do you have a criminal record?

Do you have a place to stay in Canada?

Were you carrying contraband items such as drugs or weapons?

    Are you underage?

Do you have enough money to support yourself during your stay?

Did you lie to the Border Guard?

Did you have the correct identification?

Did you treat the border guard with respect, and answer his questions accordingly?

You can try again and perhaps a different border guard will feel differently.  However, it would be advisable to clear up whatever issue you were turned away for in the first place.
