I was vacumming the coils

Question

I was vacumming the coils under my whilpool side by side when I believe I heard a faint whistle along with a odorless thin white smoke that stayed low to the ground.

The compressor is hot to the touch, yet the freezer is holding at 0. The center dividing wall where both doors meet and seal side by side is hot to the touch. All tubing is hat or warm as well. The back is cold though and the air flow is cold.

Did I puncture the coil and have a R134 leak? Should I shut down the unit?
