Since New York Yankees have signed Kevin Youkilis, many experts are giving their opinions regarding both sides’ potential future. Some say that Youkilis is just coming to fill the gap which Alex Rodriguez has created with his potential hip surgery.
However, some say that Yankees saw something more exciting in Youkilis game as they agreed to give him a potential deal.
“I was very humbled and amazed the Yankees jumped into the picture, I never thought I’d be on the other side of the rivalry, but we thought the New York Yankees were the best fit going forward to try to win another World Series,” Kevin Youkilis said on a conference call and explained about his new team and potential future with them.
Youkilis, who last played for the Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox, is also excited for his new relationship with the Yankees.
Kevin Youkilis added with more confidence and explained in detail, “You can’t control what people are going to think about you, Over the years, I’ve had a lot of Yankee fans come up to me and say, ‘I love the way you play the game. I think fans will appreciate it.”
Though during his time with the Boston Red Sox, he has enjoyed a good rivalry between Yankees and Red Sox, but now he is not giving any indication that he still thinks like most of the Red Sox players do.
On the other hand, as soon as he joined the Yankees franchise, their fans also greeted him with pleasure. Yankees have known for their true offensive class and Youkilis is also considered one of the most offensive players in the entire league. His arrival in the Yankees will also help him to get more excellence with his offensive game plan.
