I was wondering about DNA test for Dogs?

I want to get my dogs a DNA test but where would I take them for that and how much those it cost? Anything is helpful

Your vet can do that for you and it will probably cost between $80 - $100, depending on the vet.  You can also get them on line. Just google dog dna test and your'll get lots of hits.

You do it at home. While I haven't had any of my dogs tested to see what breeds they are, Bindi recently took part in their mapping of the Bel Mal genes.

They send you 3 swabs, yes you have to use all 3. You swab the inside of your dogs cheek 30 seconds per swab. Then you send the swabs and necessary forms off to them.

Its painless for the dog, in fact Bindi really seemed to enjoy her swabbing.

From what I see on the website its a bit over $100 to do the test.
