I was wondering how to find out if there is a grace period for making your insurance premiums on your home.?

  1. Yes, read your policy, and if you don't understand it, call the agent you purchased it from. He/she is your servicing agent, and have been paid a commission for your business, we haven't. What.. is everyone afraid of their agent or what..My clients call me all day with questions like these, and I encourage them to do so, that's what I'm here for, service after the sale.

    I've NEVER seen a "grace period" on a homeowners.  You've got the due date, and if you miss it, you get a cancellation notice, with a cancellation date.  One second after the cancellation date, the policy is cancelled.

    Now, many companies will reinstate it with a no loss letter, once or twice.  Or they'll reinstate it, and not give you payments any more (pay in full).  

    You need to talk about it with your agent.
