Question:

I was wondering if anyone could help me with my laptop...hardware problem?

It's a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li2727, Windows Vista and about a month old, but I'm having trouble with it. I plug in hardware like my digital camera and my iPod, and it will charge them, but won't unload or upload anything to or from my computer. It used to though. Its not a problem with the USB ports or anything like that, because it still charges them, but it won't sync music onto my iPod, or even recognise that a device/hardware has been plugged in! When I plugged in my camera before a little box would come up asking if you want to upload photos, but it doesn't anymore. Is this a security problem or something? I'm not very good at computers, or ICT in general, but I would be extremely grateful for any advice or help with this.

Thanks!

  1. Computer tech here.....Your best bet is to go to the manufacturer's Support website to get the updated drivers for your digital camera and your ipod. They usually will have the updated drivers that will work under Windows Vista. When you get to the Support website, look under "Downloads" and find the model of your digital camera and do the same for the ipod as well. These will have both the updated drivers and the software for them to work in Windows Vista. Good luck and hope this helps.
