Question:

I was wondering if anyone had actually been on a cruise from Security Travel USA?

I won a supposed "free" cruise from Security Travel USA and have had to pay a lot of fees. Clearly, it is somewhat of a scam and I have accepted. I know a lot of people have won this and realized it was a scam and not done it but i'm going in March and was wondering what the trip is like and what the ship is like if anyone has done it. Thank you.

  1. Don't do it.  You may or may not be able to get a refund, but from what I've read it's not even worth your time or the trip to Miami.  It may even be no more than a ferry ride:

"The contest misrepresents a cruise to the Bahamas, however, when you "win" it is a discounted cruise package. It is also not a CRUISE at all, but a 6-7 hour RIDE on a cruise ship to the bahamas. The advertising is very misleading, and the package you receive (if you were duped, as I was) makes no mention of the fact that you will NOT have a cabin until you reach the FAQs page."

You can get a real cruise for pretty cheap in March.  If you really want to go on a cruise, I'd recommend you call your credit card company, pursue getting the charges reversed, and go on a real cruise.

You can learn more about real cruises -- what they're really like, what the costs are, how to shop smart for them -- here:

    Good luck.
