Well, there are alot you could try. I know the Podcast, Scam School (Plug lol) has some cool magic tricks you could use as well as fun little scams. But the best way to learn is by doing. Try finding a magician or a magic shop around you and see some of their products.

Please don't request for others to blatantly reveal secrets on here. A real magician won't do it, so you can fairly be assured that anyone else answering DOES NOT have the experience to be telling you anything except basic things.

If you look in the intermediate section, there are a few videos I did for a few of the effects, and I believe I explain them fairly well. Also, I have no objection spreading this site a bit because these are all simple and the pros and amateurs most likely won't perform most of them. But are GREAT for getting started on.)

Go pick up a few books from the library when you have time and there is one nearby. And make sure to check out those sites and forums.

You should search YouTube for "Worlds greatest card trick revealed".  The effect is great and can be mastered with an hour or two of practice.
