I was wondering if anyone knows an easy chair (pad or mat) pattern using Bernat handicrafter cotton?

I'd like it to be as easy as possible & using only single crochet for most of it.

I was just going to do a series of stripes & crochet an edging...but if someone out there has a better idea please share.

This is for one of my clients who has vision problems & Alzheimers so I'd like to keep it as simple as possible (I'll help her with it while I'm there but I'd like her to feel confident that she can do it on her own time as well).

And use the Potholder/ hot pad pattern and make it a bit larger with adding more stitches when you start.
