  1. The marvellous man on Seat 61 http://www.seat61.com informs us that there is in fact a Motorail service between Bilbao and Alicante which runs overnight on Fridays, although this is currently suspended. Check out his site for more info, there's no point me just repeating it all here- you might as well browse through it yourself!

  2. Flying would be easier. There might be a train you could get. Or a fews buses to get there. Flying is quicker than train or buses. Or maybe hire a car if you can drive.

  3. There is no motorail, it was stopped a while back. As for the ferry, there is no ferry to Cartegena from anywhere. Your options are limited to driving. The journey is just under 800 kilometres (500 miles). It will be a good road but you will have to go through Madrid albeit on a ring road.

  4. go to travel agents for info they are really good. you can now go fly drive or take car in tunnel on the train. to france. but they will advise you anyway.

  5. your best option is to go from plymouth to santander then drive down to murcia if you do not like driving far  make an overnight stop on route.
