I ride on the road and my bike is an Aggressor XC.2. What times and distances are good goals?

  1. Not bad.  I can do 12 miles in about 45 minutes on the road, or 95 minutes off road.

  2. A lot depends on your state of health. I'm not familiar with the bike you name, so it's a little hard to access it's suitability. What you have to understand is that it's not the bike, it's the rider.

If you can get out and maintain a good pace, one that you feel comfortable with, stay with it and then try and improve it. A good way to improve your cycling ability is to find a group of riders locally and join them on their rides. Your local bike store may be able to help you out there with locating groups.

Based on your time and speed, it appears that you have just started cycling. Stay with it and you'll find your health will improve tremendously.

  3. Pretty much any rate is good for a beginner; its good just to see a newbie out enjoying a bike.  Goals should be your own, and can change from ride to ride.  For example, its easy to ride 15 miles in an hour on a flat smoothe trail, whereas it would be tougher to do on a windy day on a hilly route, or on a day after you've done a tougher ride, etc.

  4. Not bad, I do a circuit that is 12.5 miles in 50 min. But I hit 3 different hills and turn around. I average about 15.1 mph

  5. I don't know the bike but if its a road bike you are averaging 14.4 mph, which is not bad for a beginner if you are in a flat road. If you are going mostly uphill that is commendable.  Tour de la France racers average 30 mph and 60 mph in down hills. Pretty fast huh!

  6. Its allright, thats about 13mph, depending on the terrain that can speed could be expert down to below novice, but anything on a bike is good in my mind
