I was wondering if sum1 was holding a free hugs sign would you give them a hug?

Depends, if I was w/ friends then I would just to make them laugh, but if I was by myself then probably not.

Yes.  Actually, my husband and I participated on "Free Hugs Day" 07-07-2007 and gave out free hugs at Long Beach California.  We were inspired by the true story of Juan Mann.  See the official site and WATCH the video here:

It was my idea, and I was excited to give out the hugs and raise the sign, until the moment I stepped out in front of the crowds of people.  I was terrified for a split second because I knew people would think I was crazy, and I didn't know if people you just say cruel things and such.  Anyway,  I just mustered up the courage and raised the sign with open arms, saying, "Free Hugs!"  Almost immediately, a mom and her 6 year old son gave me a hug and a smile.  People of all colors, ages, male and female hugged us.  We got 'drive by" hugs, by people on bikes and segways.  I had people run from 20 feet or so away in a collision hug with us.  I hugged like 9 people at one time.  The security guy hugged us.  An old lady hugged us... Of course there were people who scoffed at us and mocked us, but like 90% of the people were so cheery, friendly, and you know what, that was one of the most amazing experiences in my life.  So the question is... Would I hug someone with a Free Hugs Sign?  Yes and I would probably join and chat with them.  Watch the video.  It is international  :)

BTW, I got like over 80 hugs in less than an hour :)  And mind you, this is Southern California.  Yes, there are still cool people here ;)

Sure.  We used to hand out "Free hugs" cards at Toastmasters meetings.  They are reusable and can be passed on as a gift. Everyone needs hugs every day. (Much better than sitting, staring at a computer monitor all day.)
