If you have a smallish class, you might consider one of the many military bases in the area. Most have private catering services and facilities to handle up to 300. Fort Meade, for instance, is about halfway between DC and Balto. It has a large room, stage and good catering service. You can rent the whole facility (known as Club Meade) and have a lovely dinner with dancing afterward for a very reasonable price. Better rent early, though, because it's very popular.
