I was wondering if/where I can purchase black walnut shells...only the shells, without the nut inside.?

It may seem like an odd request, but I need them for some crafts I'm planning. I've done an online search but haven't found much. Thanks! :D

We don't know where you live so all I can do is suggest where to find out.

1.  Where you get your fresh unshelled walnuts, ask where they get them.

2. Check the labels in the grocery store walnut meat packages to see where they are packed.

3.  Craft suppliers may be able to help you.

maybe contact a walnut orchard /farm and see if they will sell the whole shells , i know that finding the crushed shells that are used for abrasives are easy to find but i bet they will sell you whole ones if asked nicely !
