hey i had bought my guinea pigs at petco i have had one for over a year the other three quarters of a year they do fine they are healthy and cute but about the cage well you need a big one not huge but bigger i do not have one of these yet i am going to make one these are cheper than the pet store cages and have more room they are called c&c cages would look it up online but you do need coroplast and storage cubes they are easy to make and are great for guinea pigs to run around so just tipe in c&c cages and it will take you to http://www.guineapigcages.com/ start looking around on that site

I get mine online because i didn't find any of the pet stores in Dublin very small animal friendly. It was all dog stuff and cat stuff!

I don't know whether their is a pets a home now but their is an ok pet shops about 3 miles away called PETLAND POWELL or something like that.

But this is the guinea pig cage i have and i find it great for my two big guys!

THIS ONE HAS A REALLY GOOD PRICE AND ITS A GREAT CAGE THE ONLY PROBLEM I FOUND WAS THAT I HAD TO REPLACE THE WATER BOTTLE AS IT WASN'Y HOLDING ENOUGH FOR MY GUINEA PIGS A DAY, BUT THAT COST ME AN EXTRA £3 SO NOT MUCH!

I would suggest first looking at local animal shelters and rescues. About the cage, you should check out caveyspirit.com, because they have really nice cages in many different sizes.
